
Rebels Win 4-2 in Cranbrook

CRANBROOK, BC - The Rebels scored three goals in the third period on their way to a 4-2 win over the Kootenay Ice on Wednesday.
The Rebels and the Ice were scoreless after the first period.
In the second period, the Rebels took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Adam Musil. Austin Wellsby tied it for Kootenay; it was 1-1 after two periods.
The Rebels struck early in the third period, Wyatt Johnson gave the Rebels a 2-1 lead just 10 seconds into the period. The Ice tied it on a goal from Dallas Hines. Colton Bobyk blasted one in from the point to give the Rebels a 3-2 lead. Evan Polei added an empty net goal and the Rebels won 4-2. Bobyk finished the evening with 1 goal and 2 assists.
Rylan Toth made 29 saves in the Rebels net; Wyatt Hoflin stopped 27 Rebels shots. The Rebels and the Ice were 0 for 2 on the power play.
The Rebels are at home to the Kootenay Ice on Friday for an 8:00PM game at the ENMAX Centrium. The broadcast on 106.7 The Drive begins at 7:30pm.
