Pats Sign Riley Bruce

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey club is pleased to announce the signing of defenceman Riley Bruce ('99) to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

Riley Bruce was the Pats' fifth round pick (101 overall) in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft. The 6'2", 190 lbs. defender is in his second year of midget with the Winnipeg Thrashers of the MMHL. In 43 games last season, Bruce posted ten points (1G, 9A) to go with 96 penalty minutes. The Winnipeg, MB product already blew by those totals this year with 18 points (5G, 13A) and 107 penalty minutes in just 18 games.

Bruce is the seventh player to sign with the Pats from the club's nine player 2014 draft class.

The Blue and White are on home ice to close out their pre-Christmas schedule, facing the Saskatoon Blades on Friday and the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
