Red Deer Rebels News Release
RED DEER, AB - Brent Sutter, Owner/President/General Manager of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today that 19-year old defenceman Jan Bittner has been released and will return to his home country of Czech Republic. Bittner was pointless in 14 games this season.
Also announced today, 17-year forward Austin Ferguson has been released and will return to his hometown of Abbotsford, B.C., where he will decide if he wants to continue his hockey career. Ferguson played in 4 games with the Rebels and 2 with the Kelowna Rockets this season and was held pointless.
With these moves the Rebels have 23 players on their roster.
