August 6, 2010 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Real Salt Lake News Release
SANDY, Utah (Friday, August 6, 2010) - After extending its home undefeated streak in MLS play to 20 games, Real Salt Lake (10-4-4, 34 pts.; 2nd in West) will look to take that success on the road tomorrow, Saturday, August 7, when the defending MLS Cup champs take on the Kansas City Wizards (5-8-4, 19 pts.; 5th in East) for a 6:30 p.m. MT kickoff. The contest from CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, Kan., will air live on KUSG 2.2 / Comcast 111 and be wrapped up with the 30-minute America First Credit Union Post-match Report following the final whistle. RSL fans can also follow the action live by tuning into the defending MLS Cup champion's official radio partners - ESPN 700 (English), ESPN Deportes 1600-AM and Homero 106.1-FM (Spanish) - or by checking into RSL's Official Twitter feed, located at www.Twitter.com/RealSaltLake.
Real Salt Lake and Kansas City will be closing out their 2010 home-and-away series on Saturday, which opened with a through 4-1 victory for the Claret-and-Cobalt at Rio Tinto Stadium back on May 29. Thanks to that win, RSL will have the chance to even up the all-time series against the Wizards, which stands at 4-5-2 heading into this Saturday's clash. The Utah side is 1-3-1 all-time at the Wizards, with the lone win coming last Aug. 29 via a 1-0 triumph at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, in which FW Pablo Campos' early tally stood tall and gave the Brazilian his second game-winning goal in four days' time.
