Playeros de Harrisburg had their rally fall short in the ninth inning Thursday night in a 2-1 loss to Reading. Los Playeros had the tying run at first base when the game ended after scoring a run on an RBI single by Aldrem Corredor. Reading has taken two of the first three games of the series.
ON CAPITAL HILL
Luis Reyes had a second consecutive strong outing, tossing six innings and allowing just a single run. He struck out seven and walked one while facing 25 batters.
Bryan Dobzanski went one inning and allowed a run.
Jhon Romero tossed two scoreless frames while striking out two.
WITH THE GAVEL
Aldrem Corredor went 2-for-4 and drove in the only run Harrisburg scored.
Cole Freeman went 2-for-4 to raise his average to .264.
FILIBUSTERS
Los Playeros hit into three double plays that short-circuited innings. The crowd was the largest of the season for Harrisburg at 4,087. It was the fourth straight game Harrisburg didn't commit an error. At 2:15 minutes it was the shortest nine-inning game of the season for Harrisburg. While he was held hitless, Jakson Reetz walked and has reached base in 19 straight games.

The Senators and Reading Fightin Phils play game four of their six-game series Friday night at FNB Field at 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:40 p.m.
