Corpus Christi IceRays News Release
Corpus Christi, Texas: December 8, 2003 â This week is your chance to come spend time with the Corpus Christi Rayz both on and off the ice. The Rayz will be at Bennigan's restaurant Wednesday night and the Memorial Coliseum on Sunday afternoon for the second "Skate with the Rayz" party of the year.
The Rayz are ensuring that all fans will have the opportunity to spend time with the Rayz this December before they exit town for a nine-game road trip. In addition to these public appearances, the Rayz will also be visiting schools, malls and making other public appearances this week as part of their holiday event schedule.
Wednesday night the Corpus Christi Rayz are having a team dinner at Bennigan's restaurant at 5214 SPID. All team members will be there from 5:30-7:30pm and will be meeting the fans and available for autographs and pictures. The players will be collecting unwrapped gifts as part of their continued work with "Toys for Tots." Fans are encouraged to come donate an unwrapped gift for a child this holiday season and meet the Rayz players. Anyone who brings a gift will receive a complimentary dessert from Bennigan's. There is no purchase necessary to receive the dessert.
Fans will also get the chance to spend time with the Rayz in a more familiar setting Sunday afternoon, for the second "Skate with the Rayz" party. All Rayz players will be skating at the Memorial Coliseum from 5:15-6:45pm. The skate part will mark the last time the Rayz will be on the ice publicly in 2003. The Rayz will head out of town for a nine-game road trip and will not return to the Coliseum until January 8th vs. Austin. Don't miss this chance to skate with the Rayz one final time this year. For more information on the Rayz appearances, please contact the Rayz office at (361) 814-PUCK.
The Corpus Christi Rayz only have two final dates of home hockey in 2003. Make sure to catch the action this Friday and Saturday at the Memorial Coliseum as the Rayz battle the Austin Ice Bats and Laredo Bucks. Tickets are still available for both games. The Rayz are also offering holiday packages online at www.ccrayz.com. Log on for all your up to date Rayz news, and be at the Coliseum this week as the Rayz bid farewell to 2003.
