Cotton Kings and Royals Scoop up a Helping Hand

December 8, 2003 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Lubbock Cotton Kings News Release

LUBBOCK – A little change from the ‘ice rink,' the Lubbock Cotton Kings alongside the Royals Spirit Squad will be scooping up ‘ice cream' at Cold Stone Creamery as guest scoopers on Wednesday night from 6 - 10 p.m.

The Kings hockey team and Royals Spirit Squad will be assisting recently opened Cold Stone Creamery in fundraising money this holiday season. A portion of the profits will buy toys for underprivileged children this December.

"We are so excited about teaming up with the Cotton Kings this season," said Trent McCann, President/Owner of Cold Stone Creamery. "They have a great presence in the community and together we hope to make the holiday season as happy as possible for those in need."

What a better way to get the holiday season rolling but to donate to a good cause and eat great ice cream at the same time. Cold Stone Creamery is offering customers a new twist on a traditional holiday favorite by bringing back their seasonal pumpkin ice cream. They will also be offering two new creations. The Harvest Crunch and Pumpkin Pie in the Sky, both made with the pumpkin ice cream.

Cold Stone Creamery and the Lubbock Cotton Kings would like to encourage fans and all Lubbockites to join them at Cold Stone Creamery at 2421 Broadway for this opportunity to donate during the holiday season.
