Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Playoff Schedules Announced

GLENDALE, AZ (March 25, 2012) - The CHL's Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Playoffs are set with eight teams vying for the right to hoist the Cup after three rounds of post-season play. Games begin on Wednesday, March 28 with Game 1 of the Missouri Mavericks/Evansville IceMen Turner Conference series. On Friday, March 30, the other three series will face-off with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees visiting the Wichita Thunder and the Texas Brahmas visiting the Allen Americans in the Berry Conference and the Fort Wayne Komets visiting the Rapid City Rush in the other Turner Conference series.
The top seeds in each conference are the Wichita Thunder (the #1 seed in the entire playoffs and the Bud Poile Governors' Cup Champions) in the Berry Conference and the Fort Wayne Komets in the Turner Conference.
The final two playoff spots were secured this past weekend with the Missouri Mavericks clinching the final Turner Conference spot on Friday night and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees clinching the final Berry Conference spot on Saturday night.
Both match-ups in the Turner Conference will feature unconventional series' due to building availability in several venues. The Komets/Rush series will be a 2-3-1-1 series and the IceMen/Mavericks series will feature a 1-2-1-1-1-1 set-up.
Playoff rosters for the eight participants are due by Noon CST on Monday, March 26.
