Arizona Rattlers News Release
PHOENIX - The Arizona Rattlers signed defensive specialist Terrance Joseph to the team's roster and added WR/DB Tony Lukins to its practice squad, Head Coach Gene Nudo announced. The Rattlers also placed defensive specialist Erin Damond on waivers.
Joseph (6-foot-1, 201 pounds) played with the Rattlers in 2005. The former University of Tulsa star is an 8-year Arena Football League veteran, having also played with San Jose, Los Angeles, New York and Utah.
"Terrance is a big, physical corner," Nudo said. "He's a solid player and a quality person off the field. He's also a good press guy, which plays into what we do real well."
Joseph began the 2007 season with the Utah Blaze, tallying 23.5 tackles, a forced fumble and a pass defensed. In 2005, he was second on the Rattlers in tackles with 62, second in passes defensed with 14 and tied for the team lead with two forced fumbles.
Lukins (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) enters his third AFL season, having played with Chicago in 2005 and splitting the 2006 season with the Rush and Las Vegas. The former New Mexico State Aggie has also spent time with the NFL's Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears, in addition to the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe.
