Rattlers Announce Roster Cutdowns

Arizona Rattlers News Release
MESA, Ariz. - The playoff-guaranteed Arizona Rattlers announced their final training camp cuts, which have left the team at the mandatory 24-man roster with just five days to go before opening up at Utah.
The 2008 Rattlers will be a young team, with only five of 24 players born before 1980, and eight players who could be seeing their first AFL action on Saturday, March 1 against the Blaze. The team is allowed to dress 20 of its 24 players for any game.

The team also activated WR TRANDON HARVEY from Injured Reserve, and placed WR/DB RUFUS BROWN and OL STEVE MASCORRO onto Injured Reserve.
TEAM SHOWS OFF NEW JERSEYS AT MEDIA DAY
The Arizona media was treated to a preview of the Arizona Rattlers new uniforms today, with WR SIAHA BURLEY and DL WENDALL GAINES putting on a fashion show. The new home jersey is black with teal shoulders and copper trim, while the away white jersey has black shoulders and teal and copper trim.
"I'm very impressed," said long-time Rattler Wendall Gaines. "The material is light. I am a fan."
The 2008 Arizona Rattlers kickoff their 17th season in March, and have guaranteed their season ticket holders a trip to the playoffs.
