Colorado Crush News Release
DENVER, Colo. - John Elway's Colorado Crush begin preparation this week for their 2008 season opener this Sunday, March 2nd against the ArenaBowl XXI runner-up Columbus Destroyers at Pepsi Center.
The Crush open their sixth season in the league by returning several key contributors from last year's squad including 2007 AFL Man of the Year, QB John Dutton. Several offseason acquisitions bolster a lineup that will make a push for a fifth consecutive playoff appearance in 2008.
Former AFL Rookie of the Year WR Ben Nelson, (San Jose) highlights a corps of new talent that will make their debut on Frontier Field at Pepsi Center this weekend. OL/DL Aaron McConnell (Nashville) and FB/LB Kevin Nagle (Orlando) round out a trio of free-agents that signed with the Crush from other AFL teams this offseason.
