Rashi Johnson To Participate In Xplosion Training Camp

PITTSBURGH, October 30, 2007 - Former Chicago King High School and Michigan State standout Rashi Johnson has signed a conditional contract to participate in training camp for the CBA's Pittsburgh Xplosion.

Johnson, one of the quickest players on the Spartan roster, played at Michigan State for two years averaging 6 points and 3 assists per game. Injuries hampered his career, but Johnson earned the Unsung Player Award during his final year.

Before playing for the Spartans, Johnson attended Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan. He averaged 24 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals per game. During his two years at Mott, the National Junior College Athletic Association named him an All-American and received the Most Valuable Player award both years.
