Pittsburgh Xplosion News Release
PITTSBURGH, March 18, 2008 - Pittsburgh Xplosion guard Tyrone Anderson was named to the CBA All-Rookie Team today. Anderson signed with the team December 30 after participating in the team's open tryout camp last fall.
Anderson played in 23 games for the Xplosion during the regular season, averaging 11.5 points and 5.4 rebounds. He also led the team in field goal percentage, shooting nearly 61 percent.
Anderson has been one of the Xplosion's most consistent offensive players in the second half of the season either as an off-the-ball threat or while running the point, which he has picked up in the past few weeks.
The Concord (WV) product spent time in training camp with the Anaheim Arsenal of the NBDL prior to joining the Xplosion.
Anderson will be a key component of the Xplosion's attempt to stave off elimination tonight when Pittsburgh takes on Minot in Game 2 of the American Conference Finals at 8:05 PM.
