Antonio Graves Set To Participate In Xplosion Camp
October 30, 2007 - Continental Basketball Association 1 (CBA 1)
Pittsburgh Xplosion News Release
PITTSBURGH, October 30, 2007 - The Pittsburgh Xplosion of the Continental Basketball Association today announced the signing of Antonio Graves to a conditional contract allowing the former Pitt Panther to participate in the Xplosion's training camp beginning November 5.
The Xplosion drafted Graves in the sixth round of the CBA College Draft last month. Graves should be the only Xplosion draft choice present at training camp.
Graves became a solid contributor for the Panthers during his career, and he averaged 9.2ppg in his senior season. Graves was often overshadowed in the Pitt backcourt by players such as Carl Krauser and Levance Fields, but he helped lead the team to four 20-win seasons and four NCAA Tournament appearances.
The 6-3 guard became an outstanding long range shooter in his senior year, connecting on more than 40 percent of his three point attempts.
A total of 18 players will participate, with 10 making the final cut. The Xplosion open the season at the Petersen Events Center against East Kentucky November 16. Season tickets are now on sale. For more information, visit the Xplosion's Web site at www.pittsburghxplosion.com.
