
Baker Invited To Xplosion Training Camp

PITTSBURGH, October 30, 2007 - Former IUP standout Lawrence Baker has signed a conditional contract to participate in training camp with the Pittsburgh Xplosion of the Continental Basketball Association.
The Detroit native played in 17 games for the Xplosion last season, averaging 7.2ppg. He became a versatile member of the team, providing solid contributions as a guard and a forward. Xplosion coaches raved about his ability to fight for rebounds against bigger opponents.
In Baker's final season with IUP in 2005-06, he finished with the ninth highest point total for a single season in school history with 580 and a 20.7ppg average. Baker earned All-PSAC First Team honors after finishing that season ranked in the conference top ten in rebounding (7.9rpg), three-point field goal percentage (41%), and field goal percentage (52%).
