O'Fallon, Mo. - Danny Sawyer hit a walk-off single in the ninth inning Tuesday as the Rascals rallied from five down in the eighth to knock off Windy City by a final of 11-10.

The Rascals (49-17) were behind two runs entering the eighth but allowed the ThunderBolts (35-32) to score three runs with two outs, finishing the top of the frame with a five-run lead.

The team would rally in the eighth led by the former ThunderBolt and veteran catcher Sawyer who's two-run double got the scoring started. "There's no quit in this team. We don't care how far behind we are, we're going to play nine innings."

Bobby Burk followed with a two-run double before Eric Williams tied it with a single to score Burk and Jason Patton singled in Williams to give the Rascals a 10-9 lead.

For the fifth time of the game, the ThunderBolts got their lead-off man aboard and scored him, this time in the ninth to tie the game at 10 against Derrick Miramontes who blew his second save of the season.

Miramontes (7-0) would have to settle for the win as Chad Maddox led off the inning with a single and was bunted to second by Jareck West, his first sacrifice hit of the season, before Sawyer ended it with a single up the middle, driving in his fifth run of the game.

The Rascals and T'Bolts square off again Wednesday night with first pitch set for 7:05. Windy City sends All-Star Dustin Williams (8-4, 3.17) to the mound against Wayde Kitchens (1-0, 4.22).
