O'Fallon, Mo. - The Rascals scored three runs on six hits and dropped their record to 25-5 when hitting a homerun with a 5-3 loss to the Washington WildThings on Tuesday night.

River City (33-34) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Eric Williams got aboard on an error and moved to third on a stolen base and error before coming home on a Jason Patton groundout.

Washington (27-39) responded with three runs in the top of the second off Rascals starter Liam Ohlmann who made his 2012 debut and lasted 4 1/3 innings while giving up four runs on two hits with five walks and four strikeouts.

River City got another run back when Chris Andreas led off the seventh with a homerun but the Rascals were shutout the rest of the way.

The series resumes tomorrow with first pitch set for 7:05. Washington sends Justin Hall (2-7, 5.19) to the mound against the Rascals' ace Tony Marsala (4-4, 2.88).
