Raptors 905 Fall Short in College Park

Raptors 905 (4-6), the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors dropped their fifth game in a row against the College Park Skyhawks (7-4) 121-125 Saturday evening. The 905 were led by Reggie Perry who put up a team-high 27 points, 11 rebounds, a steal, and four blocks. Brandon Williams led the Skyhawks with a game-high 30 points, adding six rebounds, three assists, and one steal in the victory. College Park opened the ball game strong, gaining the upper hand as they outscored the 905 34-31, but 13 first-quarter points from Ron Harper Jr (18 points, eight rebounds, and two assists) kept the 905 in the game. The home side carried their momentum into the second, outscoring the 905 36-33 and extending their lead to six points going into the half.

The two teams traded baskets in the third, with the 905 outscoring the Skyhawks 25-23 bringing the game within four going into the final frame. The visitors mounted their comeback bid in the fourth, bringing the game within one, but were unable to come away with the win in College Park. The Raptors 905 saw complementary scoring from Raptors' assignee Justin Champagnie, who put up 18 points, 15 rebounds, a steal, and a block in his second game with the 905. The Skyhawks were paced by Jared Rhoden who contributed a 21-point, 15-rebound double-double in the match.

The Raptors 905 return home as they host the Greensboro Swarm in back-to-back games beginning Monday, tip-off at 11:00 am. The Skyhawks continue their homestand as they face the Maine Celtics tomorrow, with tip-off scheduled for 2:00 pm.
