Windy City's Comeback Falls Short Against Fort Wayne, Jones Scores 36

The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, lost to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 115-121 Saturday night at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Windy City was led by guard Carlik Jones with 36 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists.

With the help of 10 first-quarter points from Henri Drell, Windy City jumped out to a 37-30 lead after the opening period. However, a strong second quarter from Fort Wayne gave the Mad Ants a 10-point advantage heading into halftime.

After being down as many as 16 points early in the third quarter, Windy City managed to cut the deficit to nine points heading into the final 12 minutes. The Bulls clawed back to take a two-point lead with just under three minutes left in the game, but Windy City couldn't hang on, falling to Fort Wayne by six.

Chicago Bulls Assignment center Marko Simonović went 8-for-15 from the field, scoring 17 points and grabbing six rebounds. Drell finished with 16 points on 50% shooting from the field.

Chicago Bulls Two-Way forward Kostas Antetokounmpo notched a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds. Fellow Chicago Bulls Two-Way forward Malcolm Hill chipped in 15 points.

Fort Wayne was led by guard Gabe York with 43 points on 14-for-25 shooting from the field. Mad Ants forward Justin Anderson scored 18 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out six assists.

With the loss, Windy City falls to 6-3 on the season, while Fort Wayne improves to 7-3.

Next, the Bulls are set to travel to Cleveland to take on the Charge on Monday, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. CT at the Wolstein Center. The game is slated to be broadcast on NBAGLeague.com.
