Bush went 7-2 with a 2.48 ERA (17 ER/61.2 IP) during his rookie season in 2016 following a mid-season promotion from Double-A Frisco before spending the duration of the season with the Rangers in 2017.

Bush then split the 2018 campaign between Texas and Round Rock, where he went 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA (2 ER/9.0 IP) in eight games during his only career action at the Triple-A level. He opened the 2019 campaign with Frisco, posting no record with a miniscule 1.04 ERA (1 ER/8.2 IP) across nine games before undergoing season-ending elbow surgery.

The San Diego native was originally drafted by his hometown Padres with the first overall pick in the 2004 draft as a shortstop but converted to the mound in 2007. He has also spent time within the Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays organizations, combining to go 8-6 with a 3.47 ERA (41 ER/106.1 IP) in 82 total games, including a start, in the minor leagues.

Bush and the Express continue their six-game series against the Dodgers tonight at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Downtown Oklahoma City.
