April 18, 2011 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Round Rock Express News Release

Arlington, Texas - The Texas Rangers announced prior to tonight's game that the club has reinstated right-handed pitcher Colby Lewis from the Major League Paternity Leave List. To make room for Lewis on the 25-man roster, the club has optioned right-handed pitcher Mark Lowe to Round Rock (AAA).

Lewis was placed on the Paternity Leave List on Friday following the birth of his daughter on Wednesday. A player can be on the Paternity Leave List for a maximum of three days, meaning Lewis had to be reinstated to the active roster today. Lewis, who is 1-1 with a 5.25 ERA (7 ER/12.0 IP) in 2 games/starts this season, is scheduled to start tomorrow night's game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Lowe had allowed 4 runs in 2.2 innings over 4 relief appearances with Texas this season, as opposing batters had gone 7-for-14. He had one walk and one strikeout.

With these moves, the Rangers still have a full 40-man roster.
