METAIRIE, La. - Round Rock Express right-handed pitcher Eric Hurley suffered a contusion on the right side of his head sustained from a one-hop comebacker Monday night at Zephyr Field. Hurley has maintained consciousness and has been taken to East Jefferson General Hospital for precautionary measures.

Hurley managed to get the tip of his glove on the ball, but still took solid contact from the ball and immediately dropped to the ground. The play took place in the Zephyrs' first at bat in the bottom of the first - on Hurley's fourth pitch of the game. He left the field on his own power.
