Round Rock Express News Release

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Texas Rangers announced today that RHP Josh Lindblom has been optioned back to Triple-A Round Rock. The Rangers have also traded RHP Yoshinori Tateyama to the New York Yankees for future considerations.

Lindblom made three starts for the Rangers after his second recall of the season, posting a 0-1 record and 4.76 ERA (9 ER/17.0 IP) since his June 9 call-up. Overall, Lindblom has a 0-2 record and 5.40 ERA in four starts this season with Texas. He has made one quality start, allowing three runs on five hits over 6.0 innings against the Cleveland Indians on June 10. All four of Lindblom's starts have come at the Ballpark in Arlington.

Tateyama had spent his entire American professional baseball career in the Rangers system, making appearances with the Rangers in each of the last two seasons. The side-winding right-hander was 0-1 with a 4.24 ERA and one save in 23 games with the Express this season. At the time of the deal, Tateyama was riding a season-long 11.1 innings scoreless streak. He will report to the Yankees Triple-A team, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

With these moves, the Express' roster sits at 25 active players, the Pacific Coast League limit.
