
Rangers Battle Knights to Standing Ovation by Fans

Despite losing 5-3 on an empty net goal by the London Knights the Kitchener Rangers fans recognized the team's effort with a standing ovation after the game.
London's Nazem Kadri scored the lone goal of the first period on a Knights power play at the 10:00 mark to give them a 1-0 lead.
Chris MacKinnon answered back early in the second period with his 25th goal of the season to tie the game. London's Daniel Erlich and John Tavares followed up with a goal each to close out the second period 3-1 for the Knights.
Micky Sartoretto netted a rebound for the Rangers to make it a one-goal game by the 4:13 mark of the third period. Tyler Randell tied the game midway through on a Rangers power play. Justin Taylor gave the Knights back their lead just over a minute later to claim the winning goal. Taylor netted an empty net goal to close the game 5-3.
The Rangers return to home ice tomorrow - Saturday, March 7th when the Erie Otters visit for a 2:00pm game. The Kitchener Rangers would like to thank their fans for their loyal support throughout the 2008-09 season and are preparing for their annual Fan Appreciation Day to be held tomorrow at the game. Fans will have a chance to win one of three fabulous prizes courtesy of the Kitchener Rangers.
