THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Friday, Feb. 17 at Texas Stars

Cedar Park Center, 7:30 p.m.

San Antonio resumes their Rodeo road trip with a visit to Austin on Friday to play the Texas Stars. The Stars enter the week fifth in the West Division with a record of 21-24 -2-2 and 46 points.

Saturday, Feb. 18 at Texas Stars

Cedar Park Center, 7:00 p.m.

The Rampage and Stars square off at the Cedar Park Center again on Saturday night for the second of back-to-back contests. San Antonio is 5-1-1-0 versus Texas in seven games against the Stars this season.

Sunday, Feb. 19 at Oklahoma City Barons

Cox Convention Center, 4:00 p.m.

San Antonio heads to Oklahoma City on Sunday to finish off a three-in-three weekend. The Barons currently lead the Western Conference with a mark of 32-12-2-3 and 69 points.

The Rampage have hit the road for their 10th annual Rodeo road trip. They will play 11 games in 23 days on the road, including three sets of three-in-three series. They will visit nine cities and cover 7,310 miles returning to the Alamo City twice during the four-week trek. Their best Rodeo road trip came during the 2007-08 season with 18 points (7-3-1-3). Bill Thomas and Sean Sullivan both were a part of that team, which eventually became the second playoff club in franchise history. San Antonio is 49-50-5-10 all-time during their annual winter excursion and are 3-1-0-0 through the first four games of this year's trip.

MID-SEASON ABOUT-FACE: After the Rampage's 6-3 loss at Rockford on Nov. 23, San Antonio was 7- 11-0-0 through 18 games. At the time, they were scoring 2.33 goals per game and were giving up 3.56 goals per game. In the 32 games since then, San Antonio has gone 20-10-2-0 and has scored 2.75 goals per game while giving up 2.34 goals per game. In the 12-week span they have vaulted to sixth in the Western Conference.

GRUMET-MORRIS CARRYING THE LOAD: San Antonio netminder Dov Grumet-Morris has started the last 18 games for the Rampage and has posted a record of 12-6-0 with a save percentage of .920 in those contests.

"D" GOES ON THE ATTACK: Rampage defensemen have combined to post seven goals and 19 assists in the team's last 12 games. As a unit, the d-corps has averaged 2.17 points per contest during that period.

MATSUMOTO LENDS A HELPING HAND: Rampage center Jon Matsumoto is currently riding a five- game assist streak in which he has tallied six helpers. Since joining the Rampage on Jan. 18, Matsumoto has posted four goals and nine assists in 11 contests. His two-assist game on Friday against Toronto marked his 15th multi-point game of 2011-12.

ROBAK EARNS FIRST CAREER NHL CALL-UP: Defenseman Colby Robak received the first NHL recall of his career Saturday from the Florida Panthers and played in his first NHL game on Sunday against the New York Islanders. Paired with Tyson Strachan, his Rampage teammate for most of the season, Robak registered a plus-minus rating of plus-2 in 14:40 of ice time in the Florida victory.

ICE CHIPS: Mark Cullen - Center Rampage center Mark Cullen posted four assists in three games this weekend. Cullen, who is on a five-game point streak (one goal, five assists), has totaled 28 points (seven goals, 21 assists) in his last 26 games.

The 33-year-old veteran has amassed 150 goals and 274 assists in 542 career AHL games. Cullen, who has played in six games with the Florida Panthers this season, is in his 10th professional season.
