Penguins Sign Chupp

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. -The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Cody Chupp to an American Hockey League contract.

Over three stints with the Penguins this season, Chupp has registered four assists in 13 games. The Big Rapids, MI-native has compiled 13 goals and 16 assists for a total of 29 points in 32 games this year with the Wheeling Nailers. He currently ranks fourth on Wheeling in scoring.

A second-year pro, Chupp appeared in 58 matches with the Texas Stars in 2010-11, recording five goals and eight assists.
