THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Friday, Oct. 9 @ Abbotsford Heat

Abbotsford Sports & Entertainment Centre, 9:30 p.m.

The Rampage head north of the border to British Columbia to take on the Heat for the Calgary Flames' (NHL) top affiliate's inaugural home opener.

Saturday, Oct. 10 @ Abbotsford Heat

Abbotsford Sports & Entertainment Centre, 8:00 p.m.

San Antonio will wrap up their two-game stint against the Heat, their only trip to British Columbia, and will host Abbotsford in a back-to-back series to kick off the new year Jan. 1 & 2, 2010. Upcoming Promotions

FAITH NIGHT - On Saturday, October 17, when the Rampage take on the Grand Rapids Griffins, the team will host "Faith Night" at the AT&T Cen- ter. Christian-rock bands will perform outside the arena before the game and Spurs legend Bruce Bowen will speak about faith upon the game's conclusion.

KISS ROCKS $1 DRINK NIGHT: Every Friday fans can get $1 draft beer and $1 fountain soda.

OUTSTANDING OPENERS: The Rampage have won four of five season openers at home since the franchise's inception in 2002. San Antonio defeated Houston, 2-1, at Freeman Coliseum on October 15, 2004, beat Grand Rapids, 5-4, in overtime at the AT&T Center on October 6, 2006, downed Iowa, 7-1, at the AT&T Center on October 6, 2007, and overcame Texas, 3-2, at the AT&T Center on October 2, 2009.

PACK THE HOUSE: The Rampage opened the 2009-10 season Friday with their second-largest home opener attendance packing in 7,804 spectators. The Friday night crowd also marked the Rampage's 41st designated lower level sellout.

CONTINUOUS COACHING: Rampage head coach Greg Ireland and assistant coach Ray Edwards return for their third consecutive season in San Antonio. The duo boasts a record of 79-66-5-11, including a Calder Cup Playoff ap- pearance in 2007-08.

SERVING TIME: While with Phoenix, Rampage right wing Francis Lessard was suspended for the first three games on September 23 for a hit on Anaheim defenseman and current teammate, Ryan Donally, during NHL preseason play.

Ice Chips: Center - Joel Perrault

San Antonio's third leading scorer in 2008-09 picked up right where he left off to begin the 2009-10 season, scor- ing his franchise best 14th game-winning-goal in the Rampage's home opener on Friday night to give San Antonio a 3-2 victory over Texas at the AT&T Center.

The seven-year AHL veteran added to his point total on Saturday evening in Cedar Park, TX, earning an assist in a 3-2 OT loss to the Stars at Cedar Park Center.
