Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-The Milwaukee Admirals are pleased to unveil phase two of the relaunch of the team's official website, milwaukeeadmirals.com. Under the direction of head designer Bernard Gomez and head engineer Tom Duffey, the Admirals collaborated with website design and management company Tech by Design of Milwaukee on the new site.
"We have been thrilled with the reception we have received from our new site and phase two will offer fans a user experience that will allow for increased user interaction in order to immerse visitors in Admirals hockey," said Admirals President Jon Greenberg. "Working with Tech by Design has offered us the opportunity to not only work with a company that is at the forefront of website technology, but to team-up with a business who understands what we are looking for and can delivery it in a timely manner."
The center piece to phase two of the new site is the redevelopment of Admirals TV. Fans can now search the Admirals video archives from the last three seasons to get all of the best goals, biggest hits, and crucial saves. The highlights are categorized into channels and can be searched by player or game and each video can be shared on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking website. Phase two also includes a new Photo Gallery section that features pictures Admiral players, promotions, and concerts over the last four seasons and it functions in the same way as Admirals TV.
Phase two also includes the launch of a mobile version of milwaukeeadmirals.com that will give Admirals fans much of the same great content and features that the normal site offers, but in a slimmed down version. Fans will be able to access realtime stats, news articles, blogs, and more right from the browser on their phone. The mobile site will also work on regular computers who have smaller screen resolutions or slower internet connections.
In addition to Admirals TV and the Photo Gallery, phase two also includes the addition of a comments section after each news article and blog entry and a brand new memory game. Users will be able to post comments immediately and can choose to receive notification when others comment on the same story or blog in order to keep the debates fresh and lively. The memory game features 12 pairs of pictures that fans attempt to match in the fewest number of tries.
After a six game road trip to start the year, the Ads will kick off the home portion of their schedule on Saturday, October 24 at 7:00 pm against the Manitoba Moose at the Bradley Center. Tickets for the opener, and all Admirals games, are available in person at the Admirals office (510 W. Kilbourn Ave) by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000, or online through www.ticketmaster.com.
