Rampage Recall Goaltender Kent Simpson

SAN ANTONIO- The San Antonio Rampage announced today that goaltender Kent Simpson has been recalled from the Colorado Eagles (ECHL). Additionally, the Rampage have signed Matt Lashoff to a professional tryout contract.

Simpson, 24, has made three appearances with the Eagles this season, logging a 2.01 goals-allowed average and .933 saves percentage in 179 minutes. The Edmonton native was drafted in the second round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks and has collected 49 games in the American Hockey League.

Lashoff, 30, played 17 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last season, recording two assists and 28 penalty minutes.

A first-round pick (22nd overall) of the Boston Bruins in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Lashoff has played with the Providence Bruins, Norfolk Admirals, Toronto Marlies, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Portland Pirates and Lehigh Valley, tallying 43 goals and 115 assists in 354 career AHL games. The East Greenbush, NY native has played a total of 74 NHL contests with the Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning and Toronto Maple Leafs.
