Manitoba Moose News Release
Winnipeg, MB - The Manitoba Moose are pleased to announce the club will once again partner with Red River Co-op for the "Share the Warmth" winter clothing drive in support of Siloam Mission. The month-long campaign begins Saturday, Nov. 5 when the Moose face the Cleveland Monsters in a 7 p.m. CT matchup at the MTS Centre. The "Share the Warmth" game is presented by Red River Co-op. Fans attending the game are encouraged to donate winter clothing items including gloves, mitts, toques and scarves. The items will be distributed to those in need this winter. Fans donating items at the game will receive a ballot entry to win the grand prize of a night in a luxury suite at the Moose Teddy Bear Toss game presented by Red River Co-op on Saturday, Dec. 10 and a team autographed Manitoba Moose jersey. "Thanks in large part to Moose fans fully embracing and supporting this initiative, our inaugural Share the Warmth campaign was a huge success last season," commented Manitoba Moose Vice President of Operations Dan Hursh. "We are extremely proud to partner with Red River Co-op and Siloam Mission again, as we look to build upon the success of last year's campaign." Beginning Nov. 5 and continuing through the rest of the month of November, Red River Co-op will accept clothing donations at their gas bars and food stores across Winnipeg. Fans donating items at Red River Co-op locations will also receive ballots for the prize draw. "Red River Co-op is proud to serve Winnipeg and the surrounding community through our We Care initiatives," said Jason Bekiaris, Marketing & Community Relations Manager for Red River Co-op. "We value the partnership we have with Siloam Mission and the great work they do in our city to support those less fortunate. Together with the Manitoba Moose, Red River Co-op hopes to gather much needed clothing at our locations through the generous donations from our members and customers." Tickets for the Manitoba Moose "Share the Warmth" game presented by Red River Co-op and every Moose regular season game are available now at moosehockey.com/tickets. ####
