San Diego Gulls Announce Roster Moves

SAN DIEGO - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled goaltender Dustin Tokarski from the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim's primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Tokarski, 27 (9/16/89), owns a 10-12-5 record with one shutout, a 2.85 goals-against average (GAA) and .904 save percentage (SV%) in 33 career NHL games with Montreal and Tampa Bay. Tokarski has also appeared in five career NHL Playoff games, including a 3-2 overtime win in Game 3 of the 2014 Eastern Conference Final on May 22, 2014 at the New York Rangers.

Acquired from Montreal in exchange for Max Friberg on Jan. 7, 2016, Tokarski posted a 2-0-0 record with a 3.50 GAA and .885 SV% in two games with the Gulls this season. The 6-0, 205-pound goaltender was originally selected by Tampa Bay in the fifth round (122nd overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft.

In addition to Anaheim recalling Tokarski, the San Diego Gulls announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Kevin Boyle from the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL).

Boyle, 23 (5/30/92), has collected a 1-1-0 record with a 4.02 GAA and .871 SV% in two games with Utah this season. Boyle made his professional debut on Oct. 14 with the Grizzlies, picking up his first career professional victory in a 4-1 win over Idaho.

The Manalapan, N.J. native was named the Hockey East 2015-16 Goaltender of the Year and Hockey East Co-Player of the Year, posted a 24-10-5 record, 1.88 goals-against average (GAA), .934 save percentage (SV%) and seven shutouts with the University of Massachusetts Lowell Riverhawks last season. Boyle ranked tied for fourth in the nation in GAA, fifth in wins, tied for sixth in SV%, tied for third in shutouts and starts (39), and second in minutes played (2363:34).

In two seasons with UMass Lowell, the 6-2, 200-pound goaltender went 42-19-11 with a 2.10 GAA, .925 SV% and 10 shutouts in 73 games.

Boyle was signed to a one-year entry-level contract by Anaheim on March 30, 2016.
