March 14, 2014 - American Hockey League (AHL)
San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (March 14, 2014) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced Friday that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled defenseman Josh McFadden from the club's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
McFadden, 22, has suited up in three games for San Antonio this season, but has not yet recorded a point. The blueliner has made 43 appearances for the Cyclones this season, recording eight goals and 14 points in that span. The 6-foot-1, 207-pound defenseman donned the Silver and Black in nine games last season during his rookie campaign, but was held off the score sheet. McFadden spent the majority of his rookie year with Cincinnati, recording two goals and 12 assists in 28 games.
Prior to turning pro, the Guelph, Ontario native played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, totaling 222 games and 150 points (39 goals, 111 assists). During the 2010-11 season, McFadden led the Sudbury Wolves in scoring and was third in the league among defenseman with 19 goals and 53 assists in 67 games.
The Rampage play their next five games on the road, starting with a Saturday night matchup with Milwaukee at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m., and fans can watch live via AHL Live, listen live on The Ticket 760 AM, or follow along on Twitter (@SARampageLive) and Facebook (/sarampagehockey). San Antonio returns home on March 27 to take on the Texas Stars, the make-up game for the March 1 game that was suspended due to ice conditions. Tickets can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at sarampage.com .
