Amerks Reassign Colin Jacobs to Elmira

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has reassigned forward Colin Jacobs to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Jacobs, 21, has recorded one assist and 19 penalty minutes in 23 games with the Amerks this season. He has also appeared in seven ECHL games with Elmira and has scored one goal. In 34 career AHL games with Rochester, Jacobs has collected four points (1+3) and 19 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 204-pound native of Coppell, Texas, was originally selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
