SAN ANTONIO – Feb. 4, 2005 – The San Antonio Rampage announced today that $48,350 was raised for local charities during their three jersey auctions in January. The money raised was highlighted by the month's final auction, which generated $20,000 for Military Appreciation Night on January 28. Proceeds from that auction will benefit San Antonio's military community, specifically the Fisher House, Lackland AFB Family Support Center, Army Community Service and the American Red Cross, to assist soldiers and their families with financial and emotional support.

Partnered with Armadillo Homes, the Rampage players' jerseys were auctioned to the public with the highest bids going towards center Greg Jacina's and defenseman Jay Bouwmeester's, which generated $1,400 and $1,200 respectfully. Rounding out the top four selling jerseys where right wing Brent Cullaton's for $925 and defenseman Filip Novak's which brought a $900 bid.

The Rampage opened the New Year with an auction benefiting the Spurs Foundation, which raised $12,375 that will be designated to purchase Rampage tickets for underserved area youth. On January 21, the Rampage hosted a Salute to the Badges Night and raised $15,975. Proceeds benefited the Alamo Area Fire and Police Memorial.

The bidding for each auction took place at the Express-News Headlines in the SBC Center after the games ended.
