Hershey Bears News Release

Looking to make it five wins in the last six games, HERSHEY travels up I-81 tonight to face Wilkes-Barre/Scranton at 7:05 p.m. The BEARS stand just 11 points out of first place in the East Division as action begins this weekend.

Jeff Ulmer enters tonight's game with a seven-game goal scoring streak, which ties him for the longest streak in the AHL this season. Ulmer scored in the first period Wednesday night against Philadelphia to tie Manchester's Michael Cammalleri for the longest streak in the league in 2004-05. Ulmer and Mathieu Darche each had three points Wednesday in HERSHEY'S 4-1 victory over the Phantoms.

A win tonight over Wilkes-Barre would put the BEARS just six points out of a playoff spot and potentially within nine points of first in an ever-tightening East Division race. The top four teams in the East, Binghamton, Norfolk, Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton are separated by just four points entering play tonight.

Tonight's game can be heard on the BEARS radio network beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pre-game show. John Walton has the call from northeast PA. Tickets for tomorrow's game against Binghamton are still available at the GIANT Center box office or by calling (717) 534-3911.
