San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 9, 2014) - The San Antonio Rampage (14-7-2-0) lost in regulation for the first time since Nov. 7, falling to the Chicago Wolves (14-9-3-0) 6-2 on Tuesday night. The game wraps up a season-long six-game homestand for the Silver and Black, who won't return to the AT&T Center until after Christmas.

Drew Shore led the Rampage with a goal and an assist, but the Wolves went 3-for-6 on the power play and got multiple-point nights from six different players in the win.

Shore lit the lamp to open the scoring for the Rampage, taking a pass from Mark Mancari on the break and firing from the left circle to beat Jordan Binnington and give San Antonio a 1-0 lead after one period of play.

Chicago's Ty Rattie scored the equalizer early in the second stanza, picking up his own rebound and putting it past Dan Ellis to make it 1-1 just 2:03 into the frame. San Antonio retook the lead with a Blake Parlett wraparound goal at 3:26.

The Wolves countered with two goals just over a minute apart - from Dmitrij Jaskin on a power-play goal and another off the stick of Jani Hakanpaa - to take a 3-2 lead near the midway point of the period. Chicago extended their lead late in the frame when Terry Broadhurst put the puck over the glove of Ellis on the power play to give Chicago a 4-2 lead heading into the second intermission.

The Wolves scored twice to start the final period, as Philip McRae scored the team's third power-play goal of the game. Pat Cannone scored just 1:21 later to give the Wolves a 6-2 lead, and ultimately the win.

Dan Ellis finished with 17 saves on 23 shots, and Michael Houser finished with one save on one shot faced in a relief effort, entering the game after Chicago's sixth goal in the third period.

With the second assist on Parlett's goal, Shore set a new franchise record by recording at least one assist in seven consecutive games. Mark Mancari extended his point streak to nine games.
