Today's Game: The San Antonio Rampage wrap up their two-game series with the Utah Grizzlies tonight as they conclude their six-game in eight-night stand... The Rampage, who play a 16-game month in December, also conclude a five-game homestand tonight... The Rampage have gained six points in their last five games as they sit in 5th place in the West Division with an 9-9-2-4 record (24 pts.), pacing Utah (5-16-2-0) by 12 points... The Rampage are 5-4-1-2 at the SBC Center this season... December is one of two 16-game months (January is the other) for the Rampage, marking the highest monthly totals... Following tonight's game, the Rampage will travel to Milwaukee, Cleveland and Chicago beginning on Wednesday, Dec., 15, 2004.
Against Utah Grizzlies: The Rampage are 3-0-0-1 after four meetings this season, including their 1-0 shutout in their last meeting at the âE' Center on Nov. 24 and last night's 5-0 shutout at the SBC Center... San Antonio will face Utah a total of 10 times on the year... The Rampage were 7-2-1-0 against Utah last season, including a 4-1-0-0 record at the SBC Center... The Rampage's most goals scored in a game this season came against the Grizzlies on Oct. 16 with a 6-1 victory...The Rampage have outscored Utah 13-3 in four games this season... San Antonio is 3 for 14 in power-play opportunities while Utah is 2 for 16.

Miscellaneous Notes:
FIRST POINTS: Lou Dickenson recorded his first career AHL goal on December 9 in a 5-0 win over Utah. Rob Globke and Grant McNeill celebrated San Antonio's 5-0 win over Syracuse on Nov. 5 by notching their first's career AHL points. Globke scored assisted on Petr Taticek's game-winning goal in the first period and later scored his first goal in the second...McNeill assisted on Greg Jacina's goal with 15 seconds to play... Nathan Horton collected his first AHL assist on Nov. 13 in Grand Rapids and first AHL goal on October 30 at Grand Rapids as well... Kamil Kreps scored his first professional goal in his first professional gameâwhich eventually became the game-winning goal - against the Houston Aeros in the Rampage's 2004-05 season opener.
I'LL 2nd THAT: As of today, the Rampage are tied with Grand Rapids for the least amount of goals allowed in the second period with 12. San Antonio has played 24 games, while Grand Rapids has only played in 23 contests.
BACK IT UP: Tonight's game against Utah concludes the fifth session of back-to-back games for the Rampage. San Antonio is 6-1-0-2 after four and a half sets of back-to-back slates, which the club is scheduled for 16 total back-to-back sessions for the 2004-05 season. The Rampage went 9-13-2-0 last season in back-to-back contests.
NAIL BITERS: The Rampage are 5-2-2-4 in one-goal games after Sunday night's 3-2 SOL against Chicago. The Rampage scored the first goal of the game in one OTL (Oct. 24 vs Grand Rapids) and two SOLs (Nov. 23 @ UTA and Dec. 5 vs CHI).
TOP PROSPECT: Hockey'sFuture.com has Nathan Horton ranked sixth in their top-50 prospects. Horton ranks as one of two North American born players in the top six (along with goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury who is fifth), and one of two centers (Evgeni Malkin, fourth). Of the top six, only three are playing the AHL with Kari Lehtonen (ranked second overall) in Chicago, Fleury in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Horton in San Antonio.
OFFENSIVE DEFENSMAN: Rampage's defenseman Lukas Krajicek has been the only scoring component that has recorded a point in all but one of the team's wins this season. Krajicek has recorded 1-8-9 totals in the club's nine wins. Left wing Gregory Campbell (2-5-7) has logged a point in six of the nine games. Defenseman Jay Bouwmeester (3-3-6) and center Greg Jacina (5-3-8) trail with four and five games, respectively, in which they recorded a point and the team has won.
QUARTER HORSES: On Dec. 3, the Rampage completed a quarter of the season (20 games) posting a 8-8-2-2 record and 20 points, marking the club in the middle compared to the last two seasons. In the Inaugural Season, the Rampage had a 6-7-5-2 mark (19 pts.) and made the playoffs, while last year, the team compiled an 11-6-3-0 record (25 pts.) and did not make the playoffs.
THE WEST WING: On Dec. 3, the Rampage opened the month of December against a West Division opponent. The Rampage, who are currently 8-6-2-2 against their division rivals, are slated to play 56 contests against their division foes this season. In addition, San Antonio will face two Atlantic Division opponents (HFD, WOR) totaling four games, one East Division opponent (NOR) for four games and five North Division opponents (EDM, MTB, CLE, ROC, SYR) totaling 16 games. The Rampage, were 21-32-7-0 in 60 games against West Division opponents last season.
GREAT SCOTT!!!: Travis Scott is currently the active-leader in AHL career shutouts. He has 21 in 260+ career games while Maxime Ouellet is in second place with 18. Scott's last shutout came against Syracuse on November 5, 2004 (5-0) at the SBC Center...The Rampage goalie set a franchise single-game record by saving 56 shots in a 4-2 victory over Cincinnati last season (Oct. 16, 2003)
