San Antonio Rampage News Release
West Division-leading Houston Aeros came from a 1-0 deficit to beat the San Antonio Rampage 3-1 in a Sunday matinee at the SBC Center. The loss gives the Rampage (4-10-0-1) their sixth straight loss at home and is winless in their last seven (0-6-0-1).
After two scoreless periods, Martin Sonnenberg capitalized on the man advantage with assists from Jamie Lundmark and Randall Gelech to start off the third period with the first tally of the game. Lundmark extends his point streak to three games with a total of three points.
Curtis Murphy capitalized on a Kiel McLeod roughing penalty to put the Aeros on the board at 8:47 in the third period with a power-play goal to tie the game at 1-1. Rem Murray scored Houston's game winning goal 7:02 after their first goal to give the Aeros the lead. Josh Olson's last minute goal would cap the win for the Minnesota Wild AHL affiliate with 28 seconds remaining in the game on an empty net.
San Antonio has a three day break before hitting the road playing Omaha, Iowa, Peoria and rounding out against Milwaukee. The Rampage return home the day before Thanksgiving to finish the home-and-home series against Milwaukee at 7 p.m. at the SBC Center.
