
Rainiers Take Three of Four from RedHawks

The Tacoma Rainiers won the final game of their four-game series, shutting out the Oklahoma RedHawks 5-0 Tuesday night at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. The Rainiers recorded two shutouts in the series as the won three of four games.
Nick Green led off the game with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jeremy Reed, giving Tacoma (49-62) a 1-0 lead in the first inning. The Rainiers added another run in the the fifth, two in the seventh and one in the eighth to make the score 5-0.
Oswaldo Navarro led the way for the Rainiers at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Seven of nine Rainiers recorded at least one hit.
The RedHawks managed just five hits as they were shutout for the second time in four games against the Rainiers. Freddy Guzman went 1-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to eight games.
Jorge Campillo (7-6) earned the win, throwing five shutout innings. Jake Woods pitched the final four innings for his first save of the season.
Eric Hurley (2-4) took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits in 6.1 innings. Hurley received no run support for the second time in seven starts. The RedHawks have scored more than three runs only once, with Hurley on the mound.
Oklahoma (54-54) travels to Fresno for a 9:05 pm CDT game Wednesday night. Tacoma returns home for a series with Memphis.
