Ottawa Lynx News Release

Charlie Weatherby made a good first impression in his Lynx and Triple-A debut. He held the Bulls scoreless through the first five innings, allowing his teammates to establish a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third. Joey Hammond led off with a single, moving to second on Carlos Leon's sacrifice bunt. Joe Thurston brought him home to put the Lynx on the board first.

Weatherby's first and only mistake was a home run allowed to Durham's Brent Butler in the top of the fifth, leaving the Bulls with a 2-1 lead as storm clouds gathered. The Lynx came back in the bottom of the inning. Carlos Leon singled and moved to second on Chris Roberson's single.

Joe Thurston sacrificed them over, setting the stage for Jaramillo's heroics. Jaramillo's triple put the Lynx ahead 3-2 after five innings. The teams played a scoreless sixth inning before the storm hit and the game was called after six innings, handing the Lynx a 3-2 win.
