Tyler Wilson was brought into the game for Ottawa and with Michael Vaughn batting Wilson uncorked a wild pitch to bring home Taylor and to give Gary the lead.
Vaughn would then work a walk off of Wilson. The reliever would then strike out of Derek Smith but Roger Bernal stepped up and drove in the insurance run with an RBI single to left center to make it 3-1. Andy Loomis worked a 1-2-3 ninth including back to back strike outs to save the game for Gary.
