
RailCats Make A Biggs Addition

GARY, IN - The Gary SouthShore RailCats signed left-handed reliever Josh Biggs Thursday afternoon prior to the RailCats second game of a four-game series with the Fargo-Moorhead Red Hawks. In a corresponding move, the RailCats placed RHP Morgan Coombs on the disabled list with a back injury.
Biggs joins the RailCats following a three-year college career at the University of Evansville where compiled a 12-7 records with a 3.02 ERA in three seasons. In 2013 Biggs went 3-2 in 16 games split evenly between starting and relief posting a 2.45 ERA for the Purple Aces.
Biggs appeared in 68 games while at Evansville making 17 career starts and hails from Valparaiso, Indiana and a product of Washington Township High School.
The RailCats continue their four-game series with Fargo-Moorhead tonight at 7:10 at U.S. Steel Yard. It's Wig-Out for Fireworks Friday! Where proceeds from the game will go to new wigs for cancer patients courtesy of the American Cancer Society. For tickets go to RailCatsBaseball.com
