Prince Albert Raiders News Release

Prince Albert, SK - The Prince Albert Raiders have acquired 2000-born goaltender Donovan Buskey from the Spokane Chiefs in exchange for a 2020 WHL Bantam Draft pick.

Buskey, who hails from Vancouver, BC, is listed at 6'1 and 171 lbs. The 53rd overall pick of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft saw action in 22 games with the Chiefs last season, posting a 10-10-0-0 record with a 3.56 goals-against average, a 0.871 save percentage, and one shutout.

"Adding Donovan improves our depth at an important position with a player that has experience in the league," said Raiders General Manager Curtis Hunt. "With four exhibition games remaining and Ian Scott leaving for Toronto's camp, this intensifies competition at that position."

Prior to last season, Buskey suited up for the Vancouver NW Giants of the BCMMHL. He also backstopped Team British Columbia to a bronze medal at the 2015 Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup, now rebranded as the WHL Cup.

Buskey will be available for the next pre-season game, which is Thursday, September 6 at the Art Hauser Centre against the Saskatoon Blades. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for fans 18 and under.

The Raiders open the 2018-19 WHL Regular Season on Friday, September 21 when the Regina Pats visit the Art Hauser Centre. Single-game tickets are now available. Season tickets are also still available. Head to raiderhockey.com for more information.

Also, the Raiders are partnering with Farm World to offer the Harvest Hat Trick flex pack. This three-game pack is only $50 and is valid for any combination of our three September home games. Anyone who uses all three of the flex tickets will be entered into a draw for new pressure washer, courtesy of Farm World. For more information, visit raiderhockey.com/harvesthattrick.
