Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - The Rafters take on the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders for the ninth time in Rafter's history tonight at Witter Field. After the completed home series against the Bombers, the Rafters move to 6-4 on the season, placing them tied for second in the South Division Standings along with the Rockford Rivets and the Kalamazoo Growlers. All three second place teams are one game behind the Madison Mallards at 7-3.

The Dock Spiders are currently 5-5 on the season ranking fifth in the South Division after their 2-7 loss to the Rockford Rivets last night. In Fond du Lac's debut season, they took three out of eight games from Wisconsin Rapids.

The Dock Spider to watch is Alex Henwood, a lefty batter from Nebraska. In nine games played, he has recorded 13 hits, five runs and a .371 batting average. The Rafters need to be aware of Henwood's bat as he has recorded at least one hit in the last four games.

The standout Rafter is currently Jack-Thomas Wold. This Rafter has five runs, 12 hits, five doubles, seven RBI and last night recorded the first Rafter home run at Witter Field in 2018.

On the hill for Wisconsin Rapids is Charlie Ruegger (Stevens Institute of Technology). The right-hander is a standout at his college and was just drafted by the New York Yankees. Ruegger currently has a 5.40 ERA with eight strikeouts in 5.0 innings pitched.

Pitching for the Dock Spiders is Austin Wagner. The Ellsworth Community College Freshman has a 1-0 record with the Dock Spiders and has pitched 3.2 innings, striking out three and giving up three hits. Wagner maintains a 0.00 ERA in two game appearances.

The first pitch is slated for 7:05 pm.
