EAU CLAIRE, WISCONSIN - It took 11 innings against the Eau Claire Express, but the Bismarck Larks were able to score two runs to get the 3-1 victory. With this win, the Larks improve to 6-4 on the season and Eau Claire drops to 4-6.

Colby Davis started on the mound for Bismarck and he set the tone early striking out four batters in is 3.2 innings of work, and only allowed one earned run. "I was very impressed with Colby's outing," said Larks Head Coach, Sean Repay. "We took him out because he is on a pitch count limit early in the season but we expect big things from him moving forward."

The Larks pieced together eight hits throughout the 11 innings. Their first run of the ballgame came in the second inning when Jacob Nesbit hit a one out single to get things started and then later scored on an error made by the shortstop. Repay commented on the hitting "I could tell that these guys broke out of their mini slump tonight, because we were squaring up the baseball and hitting the ball hard, even on our outs."

In the 11th inning, Brandon Barna got things started with a single into left-center. Matt Warkentin followed that up with a double off the right field wall to make it second and third with no outs. Nesbit would hit a sacrifice fly to score the go ahead run and then Dylan Rock would hit a sacrifice fly to bring the insurance run to make it a 3-1 ballgame.

Jeff Lindgren pitched three innings and finished the game to get the win on the mound for the Larks. Koby Bishop and Tristen Hudson also pitched lights out for the Larks giving up just one hit and no runs in 4.1 innings.

"I can't say enough about this team," Repay said. "They are the easiest group of guys I've ever coached and the way they handle their business is incredible. I can see this team being a playoff team when the season comes to an end."

The Larks improved to 6-4 on the season and they will play again on Friday against the Eau Claire Express with first pitch scheduled at 7:05.
