Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - After last night's 10-3 loss, the cranberry and gold fell to an even .500 on the season with a 13-13 record. With the Rafters' loss, they sit at fifth in the South Division standings. With the win last night and the Kalamazoo Growler loss, the Madison Mallards extended their lead of the South Division to two games.

The Rafters will take on the Madison Mallards in game two of the home series tonight. In the 2018 season series the Mallard currently hold the 2-1 advantage with game four of the series being played tonight.

Last night's starter Trayson Kubo (Stephen F. Austin) threw five quality innings for the Rafters. He struck out six, but unfortunately received the tough luck loss.

On the mound tonight for the Rafters is Charlie Ruegger (Stevens Institute of Technology). He is 1-2 this season, with a 2.04 ERA and 27 strikeouts. In Ruegger's last start he recorded four strikeouts and five hits in 6.0 innings pitched.

Pitching for the Mallards is Brian Morrell. The righthanded freshman sports a 1-0 record and 2.84 ERA in six games and two starts. In 12.2 innings pitched, he has recorded 12 strikeouts, six walks, and 12 hits.

First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. CT at Witter Field.
