Published on May 28, 2019 under Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Wisconsin Rapids Rafters News Release
After playing just one full inning of the 2019 season, the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters' game against the Rockford Rivets was suspended in the top of the second inning. The game will be resumed on Wednesday at 4:05 p.m., with the regularly-scheduled Wednesday game played 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
The Rafters notched two hits in the partial game, with Josh Nicoloff leading off the season with a double and Richie Schiekofer getting a single in the top of the second inning. Schiekofer was on base, when lighting caused the game to be delayed. Eventually, rain forced the game to be suspended.
