Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (29-35, 14-15 2nd half) fell to the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (36-28, 15-14 2nd half) 5-4. The Rafters and Dock Spiders were tied at five after five innings, but it was Fond du Lac who broke the stalemate and held on for the win. The Docks Spider now lead the eight game season series 4-3.

Wisconsin Rapids started the scoring in the first frame. The Rafters scored twice on a Dock Spider error and a base hit from Jack-Thomas Wold (UNLV). One run scored for Wisconsin Rapids in the second via an Ethan Stringer (Louisville) base hit.

Fond du Lac took a lead in the third scoring four runs on four hits. The Dock Spiders loaded the bases with no one out. A two-run double from Alex Erro did the most damage as Fond du Lac took a 4-3 lead. Following an hour and forty-minute rain delay, the Rafters tied it up in the fifth inning as Brody Wofford (University of Central Florida) brought in the tying run with his 14th double of the season.

Fond du Lac would persist as they loaded the bases again in the ninth and then scored the go-ahead run on a base hit from Alex Erro. The Rafters were held in check in the ninth as they fell 5-4.

Braxton Webb (0-2, 6.55 ERA) allowed the winning run in his second loss of the season. Michael Hope earned the win with a scoreless eighth and ninth frames.

The Rafters conclude the season series with Fond du Lac tomorrow with a 4:05 pm CT first pitch from Witter Field.
