Mississippi RiverKings News Release

SOUTHAVEN—A day after signing a Standard Player Contract with the Memphis RiverKings, Goalie J. F. Racine was recalled today (Monday) by the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League. Racine was Toronto's fourth round choice (90th overall) in the 2000 N.H.L. Draft.

Racine played six games for St. John's earlier this season before being assigned to the RiverKings on November 24. In his six games with Memphis, Racine was 4-2 with a goals-against-average of 3.27 and a save percentage of .913.

This move has left the RiverKings with one goalie on their active roster. Daniel Boisclair was placed on the 14 day I.R. yesterday, retroactive to November 27, so he is eligible to come back this Saturday, December 11. That leaves David Lemanowicz as the lone available goalie for Head Coach Mark Richards. "J.F. could be back by the weekend or he could be gone longer" Richards said. "Regardless, we may have to make a move."

The RiverKings play games this Friday at Wichita and Sunday at Oklahoma City Both games will be carried live on the Radio Home of RiverKings Hockey, Sports 56 WHBQ 560am.
