Laredo Bucks News Release

LAREDO, Texas – The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced over the weekend that the club has recalled right wing Brent Cullaton from the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League. The Bucks are the CHL affiliate of the AHL Rampage. The Bucks are home this weekend for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday night. For Laredo Bucks season or single game tickets call (956)-718-BUCKS (2825) or log onto www.laredobucks.com and buy tickets online.

Cullaton, 30, has played in all 18 games with Laredo this season. He leads the Bucks with 19 points, totaling six goals and 13 assists. He signed a two-way contract with the Rampage in September.

Last season, Cullaton split the year between the Rampage and Laredo. In 31 games for the Rampage, the 6-foot, 220-pound forward registered five goals and 11 assists for 16 points while collecting 75 points, including 50 assists in 39 games with Laredo. Cullaton, who captained the Bucks last year, represented Laredo in the 2004 Dodge CHL All-Star game as a starter and recorded an assist. The Petawawa, Ontario native also won the Fastest Skater award in the Comcast 2004 CHL All-Star Skills Competition by skating a lap around the ice in 14.28 seconds.

Cullaton was with the Rampage last night, but did not play in a 3-2 shootout loss to Chicago. Bucks forward Chris Nielsen is currently also on call up to San Antonio. Nielsen has two goals and an assist in nine AHL games.
